Graduation ceremonies will take place May 31st at the Georgia World Congress Center in Hall C1, and all are welcome to attend. Graduates should arrive to the CCHS Gymnasium no later than 12:00 PM, for the run through and to board the buses to the GWCC. Only graduates will be allowed to board the charter buses to the GWCC. Tickets are not required and seating is available on a first come, first served basis.
When is graduation practice?
May 17th - 9:15 AM
Graduation practice is mandatory for any senior who wishes to participate in graduation. Your senior will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony unless she/he attends the respective practice. Seniors need to arrive on time, find their name card, and remain seated until additional instructions are given. Please note, in addition to being on time, only graduating seniors will be allowed to enter the gym during this time.
Any honors/awards not received during the honors ceremony will be distributed at the conclusion of graduation practice only.

Please note, in addition to being on time, only graduating seniors will be allowed to enter the gym during this time.
Any honors/awards not received during the honors ceremony will be distributed at the conclusion of graduation practice only.
Are tickets required for graduation?
No tickets are required for the venue and seating is offered on a first-come, first-served basis for graduates’ families and guests. Late arrival will impact entry to the ceremony hall.
Are graduates allowed to carry purses/bags into the facility?
Travel light!! Graduates should not bring extra gear (bags, purses, personal items) to the venue. You will not return to the prep room once you exit and there will be different buses for drop off and pickup. Graduates are not allowed to enter the graduation hall carrying extra gear during the processional.
Is transportation available for the graduates?
Charter buses will be available to graduates for round-trip service to/from the venue free of charge. Graduates will need to return their transportation permission slip signed by their parents indicating whether they will ride the bus to/from the GWCC to Rm. 4006 by April 17th. Seniors riding the bus to graduation must arrive at Chamblee Charter High School no later than 12:00 PM. Graduates are expected to arrive two hours prior to the scheduled start time of the graduation ceremony for a final practice and ceremony preparations. The ceremony doors will be opened to parents/family approximately 45 minutes prior to the ceremony. All guests attending the ceremony will enter through Hall C2 doors to a waiting area until the doors are opened.
Graduates will be dismissed to the West Plaza courtyard on Northside Drive following the ceremony – followed by parents and guests. If there is inclement weather, security will lead you to another location within the facility.

Please be mindful that the Georgia World Congress Center charges $20 for parking, however, if you purchase parking online (https://gwcc.clickandpark.com/) prior to the event day you can pay $15. The parking code for DeKalb is DKCG. Please make note that there will be other DeKalb County graduations taking place at the venue before our graduation ceremony, so it is imperative that enough time is given to travel to the venue and find parking. Will I be able to take pictures of my graduate?
A contracted vendor will take a series of photos of each graduate to commemorate this special occasion. Each graduate will receive a photo of themselves receiving their diploma cover on stage. This photo is included as part of their senior package. Graduates will also have an opportunity to view additional photographs with the option to purchase the photos from the photography vendor. The link will be available after TBA.
In addition to the photos, each graduation ceremony will be recorded and broadcast via live stream link. The link will be provided at the DeKalb County Grad Central Station website after TBA, http://www.dekalbschoolsga.org/grad-central-station/graduation-schedule/. Graduates may check the Grad Central Station link after TBA for information on how to obtain copies of the ceremony.
